Dr. Polly Peterson, who was named University of Jamestown President in February of 2018, will be officially inaugurated on Thursday, September 27. The event is open to the public.<\/p>\n

Peterson was tapped to succeed President Robert Badal after he retired in February 2018. She is the first female president in the University\u2019s 134-year history.<\/p>\n

Peterson holds a Ph.D. in higher education \u2013 institutional analysis from North Dakota State University and an M.B.A. from Regis University. She is a 1989 graduate of the University of Jamestown with degrees in accounting and business administration.<\/p>\n

Campus tours will run from 9 a.m. \u2013 11 a.m., followed by a Chapel service in the Voorhees Chapel at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon in Knight Hall. The Inauguration Ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. in the Harold Newman Arena, followed by a reception, social and dinner.<\/p>\n
