Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 Jamestown Police report the driver of a car that went front end first into a street construction hole on Wednesday September 5th was not injured.<\/p>\n
The incident happened at First Avenue \u00a0North and Thirteenth Street.<\/p>\n
The report says 62 year old Dale Quenzer, was\u00a0operating \u00a0a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu northbound\u00a0 on\u00a0the 1200 block of First Avenue North.<\/p>\n
He attempted\u00a0to turn\u00a0left onto\u00a0Thirteenth Street Northwest when the car\u00a0went into the\u00a0construction pit.<\/p>\n
At the time of the incident, workers with \u00a0Scherbenske Inc.\u00a0were\u00a0 pulling equipment out of the hole, temporarily removing\u00a0 barricades.<\/p>\n
Quenzer\u00a0told police that\u00a0he\u00a0failed to\u00a0see the hole after\u00a0 going around various construction trailers on First Avenue.<\/p>\n
The report says no signal person was at the site,\u00a0to\u00a0point out\u00a0that area of the road was closed.<\/p>\n
Quenzer was wearing a seat belt, and was able to\u00a0get out of the car, not being hurt.<\/p>\n
Minor damage was sustained\u00a0to the auto’s undercarriage, which was towed from the scene<\/p>\n
The report indicated no citations issued.<\/p>\n
