\"\"<\/a>Carol Marie (Mennis) Tvedt, 80, passed away peacefully at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City, ND, surrounded by her family while under the care of CHI Hospice Care, on September 11, 2018.\u00a0 She was born August 1, 1938 at home in Binford, ND to Maynard and Ida (Jacobsen) Mennis.\u00a0 The family moved to Kelso, WA and Carol graduated from Kelso High School in 1956.\u00a0 She moved back to ND.<\/p>\n

On April 12, 1958, she married Maynard Lee Tvedt in Valley City.\u00a0 They were married at the home of Maynard\u2019s grandparents, which is where Carol and Junior were currently living.<\/p>\n

She worked in various grocery stores in Valley City and was a baby sitter and caregiver to numerous family members.\u00a0 Carol loved having her children and grandchildren visit.<\/p>\n

She is survived by her husband, Maynard Tvedt, Jr.; children, Roxanne (Todd) Baumgartner of Litchville, ND, Kimberly (Mark) Undem and Travis (Mindy) Tvedt of Valley City; a step-son, Monte Anderson of Oregon; grandchildren, Jeremy (Lacey) Undem, Shane (Lexie) Undem, John Baumgartner, Lucas Baumgartner, and Bentley Tvedt; step-grandchildren, Jacob (Dara Evenson) Anderson, Amanda Anderson, and Austin Anderson; and great grandchildren, Grace and Hunter Undem.<\/p>\n

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Darla Mae Van (1\/12\/2017).<\/p>\n

The funeral service for Carol M. Tvedt will be Friday, September 14, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Nazarene, Valley City, ND.\u00a0 Visitation will be at the Lerud-Schuldt-Mathias Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service beginning at 7.<\/p>\n
