(AP) &#8211; Federal prosecutors in North Dakota have unsealed indictments against 15 people accused of bilking victims from the Dakotas and elsewhere out of more than $1 million in a Jamaican lottery scam.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Charges against 11 defendants were made public Wednesday, after four people pleaded not guilty earlier to several charges, including mail and wire fraud.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 North Dakota and South Dakota are the latest states whose residents have been victimized by a lottery scam originating in Jamaica. The scheme targets mostly elderly Americans. Authorities estimate that at least 30,000 telephone calls from Jamaica are made every day trying to defraud U.S. citizens.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Court documents show that one North Dakota woman lost more than $150,000 in the case.
