Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The Jamestown Stormwater Committee met Thursday evening at City Hall.<\/p>\n

The committee heard from Kevin Smith of AE2S.\u00a0 All members were present.<\/p>\n

Smith gave a scope overview and brought the committee update.<\/p>\n

He said right now the street and engineering department is funding the current stormwater management, at about $500,000 in 2019.<\/p>\n

A stormwater utility would be funded separately.<\/p>\n

He said stormwater management needs have been reviewed with city officials, along with the rate structure, and \u00a0generating enough dollars in the utility fees for the proposed utility.<\/p>\n

As an example he said the city hall building\u2019s fee would be $10 per month.<\/p>\n

The fee would be $3 to $4 per month for the typical single family residential property.<\/p>\n

State Hospital and Jamestown Regional Airport rates are being studied.<\/p>\n

More meetings will be held with the higher rate payers.<\/p>\n

No recommendations were made from the Stormwater Subcommittee to implement a storm water utility program.<\/p>\n

The meeting was shown live on CSi Cable 67 followed by replays.<\/p>\n
