\"\"Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi) Members of the chamber Young Professionals of Jamestown and the chamber Ambassadors recently presented the Business of the Month Award to Walmart of Jamestown for their outstanding customer service and continued commitment to the community.\u00a0 This business is located at 921 25th<\/sup> St SW in Jamestown and they can be reached at 701-252-6778.\u00a0 Store Manager Tim Curtis was joined by multiple staff members in celebrating this award.<\/p>\n

The nomination stated, \u201cWe often think of Walmart as the company that destroys small towns and local business. \u00a0And while that may be true in some places, Jamestown\u2019s store is continually and actively looking for ways to support and engage the Jamestown community. Take Jeff Wolsky, 25 year employee and a pillar of the Red Cross.\u00a0 Walmart Jamestown supports Jeff\u2019s involvement in the Red Cross by allowing time away to support the needs of a critical nonprofit organization. And not only are they generous in their support of employees, they give back to the community. Last week Walmart presented a $1000 check to support the Kids Against Hunger event coordinated by the local Kiwanis Club.\u00a0 And they know how to have fun. In September, store manager Tim Curtis volunteered to allow staff members to throw paintballs at him for $1 in support of the Children\u2019s Miracle Network. These are the actions that build community. Providing a consistent business that not only supports its employees, but gives of its self to make the community a stronger place. Please help portray the gratitude of these efforts by recognizing Walmart Jamestown as the Business of the Month.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Young Professionals of Jamestown honor businesses that provide superior customer service, exhibit community spirit and provide a positive economic impact to the community.\u00a0 This award provides recognition throughout the month with a plaque and a recognition banner for the month.
