Solien, age 90, of The Villages, FL and Blanche Lake, MN, passed away December 5, 2018 in The Villages, FL.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\">\n<p>Bob was born on July 25, 1928 in Jamestown, ND to Marvin and Olga Stevens Solien. Bob grew up in Jamestown and during high school at Jamestown High School was a four-sport athlete nicknamed &#8220;Lefty&#8221;. Bob married Marjorie Berg in 1956 in Jamestown, ND.<\/p>\n<p>Bob worked as a banker for US Bank, moving his family to Havre, Montana, East Grand Forks, MN, Jamestown, ND and Wadena, MN. He served on the Board of Education in Jamestown for many years. And was also a past president of the Jamestown Country Club. He and Margie moved to The Villages in 1992, spending winters in The Villages and summers at Blanche Lake, MN.<\/p>\n<p>Bob is survived by Marjorie Solien, his wife of 62 years; three daughters: Julie (John) Ferron, Jan (James) Dorl, and Jodi (Bruce) Haroldson; grandchildren Joey Dorl, Andy and Erik Haroldson, and Kayla Ferron; and sister Mary Lou Stickel. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Kay Smith and Libby Groth and brother Marvin Solien.<\/p>\n<p>A &#8220;Celebration of Life&#8221; service will be held in this coming July in Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer&#8217;s Association.
