She grew up and attended school at Nortonville. Mattie married Spencer R. Brandt on June 14, 1939 at Aberdeen, SD. They made their home on her grandparent&#8217;s homestead near Nortonville. Spencer died on September 14, 1995. Mattie was a resident of Eventide, Jamestown for some time.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"node-ad node-ad-desktop\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"node-body\">\n<p>Mattie is survived by her children, Dorothy Broadwell, Valley City, D, Helen Hoveskeland, Sequim, WA, Spencer (Lisa) Brandt, Dickey, ND, and Tom (Lisa) Brandt, Eatonville, WA; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Clara Foy; husband, Spencer R. Brandt; son &amp; daughter-in-law, Richard &amp; Lavonne Brandt; daughter-in-law, Pat Brandt; son-in-law, Gordon Broadwell; granddaughters, Ranae Telios and Monica Brandt; great-grandson, Jerrad Lee; brother, Edgar Foy; and sister, Eileen Gusaas.<\/p>\n<p>Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>Visitation: One hour before the service at the funeral home.<\/p>\n<p>Interment: Mt.
