News)\u00a0 &#8212;\u00a0 The Jamestown Area Grief Support Team (JAGST) is hosting a \u201cGood Mourning\u201d Brunch at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the Farmer\u2019s Union Insurance Building, 1415 12<sup>th<\/sup>Avenue SE.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Special guest speaker will be Pastor Doug Opp from Audubon, Iowa.\u00a0\u00a0 Pastor Opp and his wife, Julie have worked with congregations in northern California, western Iowa, Jamestown, ND and suburbs of Chicago, IL.\u00a0\u00a0 Pastor Opp hosted one of the first grief support groups in the Jamestown area.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In his presentation entitled \u201cMoving Beyond Grief\u201d, Opp will discuss grief as a normal response to change and loss in daily life.\u00a0 Our reaction to grief often determines if we become better or bitter.\u00a0 The goal of this presentation is to encourage those who are grieving, as well as those who are companioning those who are grieving, and let them know that there are helpful choices we can make as we journey through grief.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Jamestown Area Grief Support Team has been working in the community since 2002 and offers support to those who have experienced the death of a loved one.\u00a0 JAGST offers educational programs, grief support groups, a yearly service of remembrance and an annual weekend Widow\u2019s Retreat.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The brunch is free of charge but tickets are required.\u00a0 To request a ticket, please contact Kathy 952-8001, Carol at 320-3801 or Brenda at 252-1198.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown, ND\u00a0 (KCSi-T.V.
