{"id":166388,"date":"2019-03-05T10:07:36","date_gmt":"2019-03-05T16:07:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=166388"},"modified":"2019-03-05T10:51:44","modified_gmt":"2019-03-05T16:51:44","slug":"update-on-national-buffalo-museum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=166388","title":{"rendered":"Update on National Buffalo Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Ilana-Xinos-2-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-166417\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Ilana-Xinos-2-1-300x202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" \/><\/a>Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 On Tuesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2 The National Buffalo Museum\u2019s \u00a0in Jamestown \u00a0Director, Ilana Xinos updated viewers on recent developments at the Museum.<\/p>\n<p>She pointed out that the Museum is in the final phase of updates including the renovated exhibit space along with programming updates.\u00a0 That\u2019s in addition to the addition of the Bison videos and video room for visitors to learn more about the history of animal.<\/p>\n<p>The National Buffalo Museum is open during the winter months Monday through Saturday from 10-a.m., to 5-p.m., then seven days a week with expanded hours from Memorial Day through Labor Day.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, on our show was <a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=166251\">Rachel Johnson<\/a>, who recently came on board as the National Buffalo Museum\u2019s Collection Manager.<\/p>\n<p>She said she\u2019s been working with Ilana Xinos to inventory the present museum collections, and will be planning exhibits, and programming.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-10234\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Swedlund-300x202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Swedlund-300x202.jpg 300w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Swedlund-259x175.jpg 259w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/Swedlund.jpg 445w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Jamestown Tourism Executive Searle Swedlund on our show added that the National Buffalo Museum is an important element in enhancing the visitors experience in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>He added, this month the Tourism Grant Board will review requests for Capital Improvement Grants.
