Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 It\u2019s hoped that a planned change in the SkyWest United Express airline schedule planned in late April this year in Jamestown is temporary.<\/p>\n
Jamestown Regional Airport Manager Katie Hemmer says, the airline told \u00a0airport \u00a0management last week that starting April 29 this year, its 6:30 a.m. United Airlines\u00a0 Express\u00a0 flight from Jamestown to Denver depart at 9:30 a.m. The airline says the \u00a0regional flights use the 50-passenger Bombardier CRJ100 and CRJ200 jets . The Denver airport the airline says, \u00a0for the smaller jets, is becoming increasingly congested during that time of day.<\/p>\n
She added that change could cause connection issues for passengers, as the earlier 6:30-a.m., provides more flight connections of the 9:30-a.m., departure, and may require longer layovers.<\/p>\n
She says the North Dakota Congressional delegation, along with the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission will be contacted, along with Governor Burgum\u2019s Office, and local business people in an effort to restore the current schedule.<\/p>\n
She pointed out that flyers should continue to make reservations through a travel agent or on line, to see how the schedule change would work for them.<\/p>\n
The current 12:45- p.m. flight from Denver to Jamestown along with \u00a0the 1:15 p.m. flight from Jamestown to Devils Lake Regional Airport and then on to Denver are unaffected by the change, along with \u00a010:45 p.m. flight from Denver to Jamestown.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
