Sheldon Mohr says callers\u00a0thought the smoke was coming from an apartment building at the intersection of 16th Avenue and 16th Street Southwest, but was a controlled burn outside city limits, along 17th Avenue, Southwest.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div id=\"second-mobile-ad\" class=\"mobile-ad\">The fire\u00a0 violated the burn ordinance.<\/div>\n<div class=\"mobile-ad\">He says those wanting to establish a controlled burn are required to\u00a0 contact the Law Enforcement Center in Jamestown to report the controlled burn day and time\u00a0 avoiding false alarms to the fire department.<\/div>\n<div class=\"p402_premium\">\n<div class=\"node-body\">\n<p>21 city fire fighters and four\u00a0units\u00a0 cleared the scene at 5:25 p.m.<\/p>\n<div id=\"jobsHQ-hotjobs-single-0\" class=\"jobsHQ-hotjobs-single\">Jamestown Police\u00a0were also\u00a0on the scene.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 A call to Stutsman County Dispatch shortly after 5-p.m., Friday concerned about a possible apartment building fire, was smoke seen coming from an unlawful\u00a0controlled burn.
