Sunday April 14, 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"obit-primary\">\n<article class=\"obituary\">\n<section id=\"obit-text\" class=\"obit-text text-fade\">Ervin Stadel, 95, Jamestown, ND was called home to be with this Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 14, 2019Ervin Stadel was born north east of Napoleon, ND in Logan County to John and Katherina (Weidelich) Stadel on January 4, 1924.\u00a0 He moved south of Dawson with his parents at an early age.\u00a0 Ervin attended grade school in a rural school then graduated from Dawson High School in 1942.\u00a0 After high school he farmed with his parents for a couple of years.<\/p>\n<p>Ervin was employed at the Occident Elevator as the second man in Tappen, ND where he found the love of his life.\u00a0 He married Martha Derheim on June 15, 1947 in Tappen, ND, where they made their home.\u00a0 In 1953, they left Gackle and bought their own elevator in Bloom, ND, where their son Monte was born.\u00a0 The elevator was later destroyed by fire.\u00a0 After that, Ervin was the manager of the Bloom Oil Company for many years.\u00a0 They moved to Jamestown where their daughter Joann was born.\u00a0 He was later employed by Country Boy Dairy delivering milk.\u00a0 Last, he was with the engineering department at the North Dakota State Hospital.\u00a0 He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church and later the United Presbyterian Church in Jamestown, ND.<\/p>\n<p>Ervin and Martha spent a couple years wintering in Arizona and many years in Texas.\u00a0 In Texas, he was Vice President of North Dakota and South Dakota reunion.\u00a0 Ervin belonged to the Germans from Russia Heritage Society, and a member of the Good Sam RV group.\u00a0 They enjoyed traveling and going with friends on tours.<\/p>\n<p>After many years of caring for his beloved wife, Martha, he moved to the Heritage Center in Jamestown where he played pinochle and bingo.\u00a0 He was very thankful of the wonderful care they gave him.<\/p>\n<p>Ervin is survived by his son Monte Stadel;
