{"id":170972,"date":"2019-05-10T07:00:34","date_gmt":"2019-05-10T12:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=170972"},"modified":"2019-05-17T14:09:55","modified_gmt":"2019-05-17T19:09:55","slug":"jrmc-free-hearing-speech-memory-screenings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=170972","title":{"rendered":"Free hearing speech memory screenings May 14-16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)<strong> &#8211; \u00a0<\/strong>Jamestown Regional Medical Center is offering three days of free hearing, memory and speech screenings.<\/p>\n<p>Spring Clean, Free Screen is set for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>* Tuesday, May 14<sup>th<\/sup>, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>* Wednesday, May 15<sup>th<\/sup>, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>* Thursday, May 16<sup>th<\/sup>, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On Thursday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, JRMC Marketing Generalist, Ally Knutson said, Screenings include one or more of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>pediatric and adult hearing screenings<\/li>\n<li>adult memory screenings<\/li>\n<li>pediatric language screenings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>JRMC Audiologist Marissa Leese, said communication is the key to a high-quality life.\u00a0 She joined JRMC in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>She added that the screenings are open to the public, especially to those who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>turn the TV too loud<\/li>\n<li>miss parts of conversations<\/li>\n<li>have difficulty hearing in background noise<\/li>\n<li>are difficult to understand<\/li>\n<li>are often forgetful<\/li>\n<li>works around loud machinery or equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also on our show JRMC speech-language pathologist, \u00a0Lauren Burningham, said,<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you have concerns about hearing, memory or your child\u2019s speech\/language, we encourage you to take advantage of these free screenings. Every adult should have a baseline hearing and memory screening.\u201d\u00a0 She also joined JRMC in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Spring Clean, Free Screen is set for:<\/p>\n<p>* Tuesday, May 14<sup>th<\/sup>, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>* Wednesday, May 15<sup>th<\/sup>, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>* Thursday, May 16<sup>th<\/sup>, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Screenings are scheduled for 30 minutes.
