(AP) \u2014 The family of a North Dakota man who died a few days after he was arrested for drunken driving has filed a civil rights lawsuit against law enforcement and others.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kfgo.com\/news\/articles\/2019\/may\/04\/family-of-man-who-died-after-dui-arrest-files-civil-rights-lawsuit\/\">KFGO radio<\/a> reports that the 83-page complaint asserts that Warren Lindvold, of Valley City, was deprived of his civil rights and illegally arrested in July 2018.\u00a0 \u00a0It says Lindvold had a form of arthritis that causes severe pain and he wouldn&#8217;t have died had he received appropriate care.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=158897\">The medical examiner concluded that Lindvold&#8217;s death was an accident, probably due to a fall.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The suit says Lindvold&#8217;s blood-alcohol content was 0.03%, below the state&#8217;s drunken driving threshold of 0.08%, and he should not have been arrested.<\/p>\n<p>Court documents do not list attorneys for the 12 defendants named in the suit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FARGO, N.D.
