Curtis Slaughter, 86, Jamestown, ND went peacefully to his heavenly home Thursday April 18, 2013 at the Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown, ND.<\/p>\n
Curtis Dale Slaughter was born October 10, 1926 near Tappen, ND, the son of Clyde and Ida (Haadem) Slaughter. He grew to manhood in the vicinity.<\/p>\n
He and Laverne Bauske were married on April 2, 1963 at Steele, ND. They farmed in the Tappen area until moving to Jamestown in 2008. He entered Eventide at Hi-Acres in January of 2012.<\/p>\n
He was a member St. John\u2019s Evangelical Lutheran Church at Tappen, ND.<\/p>\n
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Laverne, Jamestown, ND, 3 children, Daryl (Marilyn) Slaughter, Medina, ND; Kerry (Melissa) Slaughter, Tappen, ND; Lynn (Jordan) Shipley, Jamestown, ND; 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, 2 brothers, Delane Slaughter, Bismarck, ND; Harold Slaughter, Fargo, ND; 2 sisters Areda Owen, NY; and Ivy Knight, PA.<\/p>\n
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.<\/p>\n
