{"id":173402,"date":"2019-06-06T15:46:41","date_gmt":"2019-06-06T20:46:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=173402"},"modified":"2019-06-06T15:47:09","modified_gmt":"2019-06-06T20:47:09","slug":"jamestown-regional-airport-receives-project-grants","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=173402","title":{"rendered":"Jamestown Regional Airport receives project grants"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-20938\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/jamestownAirportsign002-300x202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" srcset=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/jamestownAirportsign002-300x202.jpg 300w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/jamestownAirportsign002-259x175.jpg 259w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/jamestownAirportsign002.jpg 445w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Bismarck (CSi)\u00a0 \u00a0On June 6<sup>th<\/sup>, 2019, the North Dakota Aeronautics Commission finalized approximately $3.5 million in infrastructure grant allocations to multiple public airports throughout the state.\u00a0 The individual awards are noted on the attached listings which show 165 individual projects received grant awards at 58 different public-use airports throughout the state.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown Regional Airport received grants for terminal apron reconstruction, in the amount of $55,555, $3,000 for other repairs, and $15,950, for terminal apron lighting.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the Aeronautics Commission also provided aviation education grants as follows:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$7,930 to the Dakota Territory Air Museum in Minot for equipment to promote Unmanned Aerial System technology programming to K-12 students.<\/li>\n<li>$11,895 to the Missouri River Area Career and Technical Center to help purchase aviation simulator and computer equipment to enhance rural North Dakota high school aviation programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The revenue source for these grants is derived primarily from state tax collections on aviation fuel and aircraft sales.
