\"\"Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 Jamestown Police arrested a\u00a0 man\u00a0 early Weds after he eluded police and fled in a vehicle.<\/p>\n

Howard Larson, Jr. was arrested on outstanding warrants. after he failed to halt and attempted to flee in a vehicle.<\/p>\n

Larson\u00a0 was seen in the\u00a0 McElroy Park area, Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n

Police Lt. Sid Mann says, the incident started when Stutsman County Sergeant Damian Hoyt located Larson,\u00a0 and attempted to stop him. Mann reports that Larson fled from Hoyt on foot into the wooded area south of the river.<\/p>\n

Authorities established\u00a0 perimeter\u00a0 adding personnel to the search the wooded area.<\/p>\n

The Jamestown City Fire Department’s K-9 bloodhound joined the search, with her handler, Fire Chief Jim Reuther.<\/p>\n

A\u00a0 Jamestown Police Detective located Larson in a vehicle in Southeast<\/p>\n

When a Stutsman County Deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, when Larson fled heading\u00a0 toward Ypsilanti.<\/p>\n

His\u00a0 car was disabled by spike strips and Larson was taken into custody.<\/p>\n

He was taken to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center for evaluation.<\/p>\n

Formal charges are pending.<\/p>\n

The Jamestown Police Department, Jamestown Fire Department, and Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Department were assisted by ND Game and Fish in the search.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
