{"id":174312,"date":"2019-06-24T07:14:50","date_gmt":"2019-06-24T12:14:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=174312"},"modified":"2019-06-26T08:35:15","modified_gmt":"2019-06-26T13:35:15","slug":"gwen-arlene-kunze-jun-21-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=174312","title":{"rendered":"Gwen Arlene Kunze &#8211; June 21, 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"container\">\n<div id=\"content\">\n<div id=\"rightCol\">\n<div id=\"bodyText\">\n<div id=\"inBodyText\">\n<p>Gwen Arlene Kunze, 83, of Dazey, ND passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital in Valley City on June 21, 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Gwen was born September 11, 1935 to Howard and Edith (Ellefson) Martin.\u00a0She graduated from Valley City High School in 1953.\u00a0 On September 1, 1955, she married Keith Kunze at St. Mary\u2019s Catholic Church, near Dazey, ND.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They made their home on a dairy farm near Dazey and together raised five children:\u00a0 JaNae, Myron, Lori, Todd, and Daryl.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Gwen enjoyed music, especially Elvis Presley, and watching The Grand Ole Opry and The Price Is Right.\u00a0 She loved planting flowers, crocheting, and embroidery.\u00a0 She also enjoyed baking and making jam.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.\u00a0 Gwen is survived by four children, Myron (Kathy) Kunze, Lori (Jay) Omdahl, Todd Kunze, and Daryl (Jody) Kunze; a son-in-law, Kerry Eggert; 13 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Keith; and her daughter, JaNae.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The funeral service, celebrating Gwen\u2019s life will be held on Wednesday, June 26 at 10:30 AM in St. Mary\u2019s Catholic Church, rural Dazey.\u00a0 Visitation will be held the hour prior to the service.\u00a0She will be buried at St. Mary\u2019s Cemetery.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Lerud Mathias Funeral Home is assisting Gwen\u2019s family with arrangements.\u00a0An online guestbook is available at www.lerudschuldt.com<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gwen Arlene Kunze, 83, of Dazey, ND passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital in Valley City on June 21, 2019.
