Aug 23, 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"parallax\">\n<div class=\"contain\">\n<article class=\"obituary\">\n<section id=\"obit-text\" class=\"obit-text text-fade\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-178465\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/fisherray.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/fisherray.jpeg 200w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/fisherray-150x150.jpeg 150w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/fisherray-175x175.jpeg 175w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/>Lee Raymond \u201cRay\u201d Fisher, 89, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Friday afternoon, August 23, 2019 at Ave Maria Village, Jamestown.Ray was born September 19, 1929 on the family farm near Woodworth, ND, the son of Albert Sr. and Anna (Hochstetter) Fisher.\u00a0 He attended rural school in Paris township through the 7<sup>th<\/sup> grade and proudly earned his GED in 1978 at age 48.\u00a0 Ray entered the US Army on October 2, 1951 and was honorably discharged from active duty on August 19, 1953.\u00a0 He then served 6 years of Active Reserve.On September 19, 1954, Ray married Florence Ione Matthews in Woodworth.\u00a0 After farming on the family farm for a couple of years, they moved to Jamestown where he worked various jobs, including North Dakota Concrete, bartending at the Crow\u2019s Nest, and finally with the City of Jamestown until early retirement due to disability in the late 1970\u2019s.\u00a0 Ray was a lifetime member of the V.F.W., lifetime member of the D.A.V. and also a member of the American Legion.\u00a0 He enjoyed hunting deer and fishing with family, canning his prized pickles, going to casinos, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>Ray is survived by his children, Jerry (Lora) Fisher, Bruce (Kathy) Fisher, Greg Fisher, and Debra (Mark) Bischoff; grandchildren, Ryan (Tawyna) Fisher, Rachel (Blake) Krapp, Jack (Meg) MacArthur, Alysia (Scott) Rufsvold, Amy Beth, Tiffany Fisher, Emily (Aaron) Olauson, Naomi Fisher Mitzel, Justin (Jenny) Fisher, April (Keith) Tompkins, Mandy (Mike) Ekren; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Maci, Adam, Evan, Molly, Zeniah, Ember, Logan, Jacob, Madisen, Kitara, Jason, Sidney, Trinity, Ethan, Catherine, Joseph, Mikaela, Kaleb, Jeremy, Ethan, Jenny, Aiden, Lily, Gracy, Keira, Adalynn, Connor, and Carter; brother, Albert, Jr. \u201cSonny\u201d Fisher; sisters, Shirley Beteau, Lillian Spravzoff, and Peal Eck; and very special friend, Fran Diede.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elmer, Lynn, and Clark;
