\u00a0The Corps of Engineers announced Tuesday,Sept 24,\u00a0 that at the request of the Barnes County Sheriff\u2019s Department, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will sharply reduce flows at Baldhill Dam to aid in the search for Mark Davies.<\/p>\n

Discharges were decreased Tuesday from around 1,800 cubic feet per second, or CFS, to 100 cfs, to be followed by a quick increase on Thursday, September 26, to more than 2,000 cfs. Lake Ashtabula is forecasted to increase 1.5 feet above its current elevation to 1,267.5 NGVD 29, while the Sheyenne River level drops. allowing searchers to comb the river bank.<\/p>\n

Wednesday\u00a0 morning the Sheyenne River level was just under six feet, down from nearly 10 feet before the release from the dam was made.<\/p>\n

The public is urged to use caution near the Sheyenne and Lake Ashtabula during this time as currents and depths could change quickly.<\/p>\n

Area residents \u00a0in Barnes, Ransom\u00a0and Lamoure Counties are asked to still\u00a0search through their properties and outbuildings for any signs of Davies or his vehicle,\u00a0a\u00a0Black 1999 GMC Yukon (ND License number 327 CCM.)<\/p>\n

Anyone with information should contact the Valley City Police Department at 701-\u00a0845-3110.<\/p>\n

Previously reported: \u00a0 Valley City\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 Law enforcement with assistance on Thursday continued the search for Mark Davies.\u00a0 \u00a0Officials say the searched area was north of \"\"<\/a>Kathryn, North Dakota.\u00a0\u00a0Property owners area asked to check their buildings and that hunters should be aware of possibly seeing him or his vehicle.<\/p>\n

Davies has been missing and was last seen on August 23, in Kathryn.\u00a0Valley City Police Chief Phil Hatcher\u00a0 says\u00a0 the search includes possibly locating any electronic information through banking and cell phone use.\u00a0 Davies name is also entered into several national databases and so for there have been no \u201chits\u201d.<\/p>\n

Chief Hatcher previously said, his disappearance is suspicious, because family members told police Davie’s is always with his dog.\u00a0 However, this time he left his home without his dog.<\/p>\n
