Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 At Monday\u2019s\u00a0 school board meeting, it was announced that the Jamestown Public School District has received the North Dakota Recreations and Parks Association Partnership Award in conjunction with the \u00a0collaboration with the On-TRAC Learning Center.<\/p>\n
The collaboration supported early literacy interventions.<\/p>\n
Superintendent \u00a0Robert Lech said \u00a0the nominated for the award came \u00a0Two Rivers Activity Center\u2019s Amy Walters.<\/p>\n
The school board also was given a report on the 2019 seniors, regarding \u00a0what they\u2019re doing after graduation.<\/p>\n
According to the report, 64% of the students are enrolled in a 4 year college, 15% in a 2 year college, 1% in vo-tech, 5% in military service, 10% unemployed, and 5% unknown.<\/p>\n
At the meeting it was noted that the school district is in the mist of \u00a0a social media campaign to educate voters on the Capital Projects Plan, cost of the referendum, and priority needs at each school campus.<\/p>\n
The referendum is set for September 24th and early voting is currently underway.<\/p>\n
