Fargo, ND (Valley News Live) – <\/strong><\/span> Juan Francisco Martinez, a fugitive who walked away from Centre Inc in Fargo this weekend, has been apprehended.<\/p>\n

The High Plains Fugitive Task Force, with assistance from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and the Fargo Police Department, arrested Martinez in North Fargo early Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

Martinez was seen being picked up in a car and was stopped a short time later by Fargo PD Patrol units.<\/p>\n

According to a release from the US Marshals Service, information from the public and local law enforcement helped find Martinez.<\/p>\n

Martinez is serving a federal sentence for a Felon in Possession of a Firearm charge in 2015 and was scheduled to be released in February of 2020.<\/p>\n

The investigation is now ongoing to determine what additional charges will be filed.<\/p>\n

Authorities say 30-year-old Juan Francisco Martinez walked away from Centre Inc. early Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

Authorities say he was serving a federal sentence for a 2015 conviction of felon in possession of a firearm.<\/p>\n

Martinez was transferred from Lee United States Prison in Virginia to Fargo in August to serve the remainder of his sentence. He was due for release in February.<\/p>\n
