She grew to womanhood in the Fargo area and moved to Jamestown in the fall of 1971, the year before her junior year.\u00a0 She graduated from Jamestown High School.\u00a0 After high school she joined the US Air Force attending basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.\u00a0 She was stationed in Mississippi, until she was medically honorably discharged.<\/p>\n<p>She and Keith\u00a0Norman were married August 12, 1989 at Jamestown, ND.\u00a0 They made their home in Jamestown.\u00a0 Jane worked at the ND State Hospital in Jamestown as part of the clerical staff; after which she worked for the Stutsman County State\u2019s Attorney office for 2 years.\u00a0 In 2006 she and Keith\u00a0started operating the Great Stories Bookshop, until 2010.\u00a0 Since then she has been semi-retired.<\/p>\n<p>Jane was a member of the First United Methodist Church.\u00a0 She was a very talented artist.\u00a0 She enjoyed reading and loved her animals.<\/p>\n<p>Surviving are her husband, Keith; 1 sister, Deb (George) Kuhler, Huron, SD; her mother; 2 nieces, Karen (Chad) Hutchinson, Sylvania, OH\u00a0 and Ellen (Kersten) Kappmeyer, Alexandria, MN; 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew, Julia and Lauren Hutchinson and Katherine and Andrew Kappmeyer.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Ecker; mother in-law, Viola Norman and brother in-laws, Michael and Joel Norman.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial Service- 2:30 PM Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the Haut Funeral Chapel in Jamestown, ND<\/p>\n<p>Interment will be in the spring at St. Paul\u2019s Lutheran Cemetery in Monango, ND<\/p>\n<p>To send flowers to Jane\u2019s family, please visit our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hautfuneralhome.com\/notices\/Jane-Norman\/sympathy\">floral section.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jane Norman, 65, Jamestown, ND, died early Saturday morning, November 23, 2019 at her home in Jamestown.
