{"id":188028,"date":"2019-12-26T14:15:26","date_gmt":"2019-12-26T20:15:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=188028"},"modified":"2019-12-27T14:27:55","modified_gmt":"2019-12-27T20:27:55","slug":"lloyd-branden-diede-dec-24-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=188028","title":{"rendered":"Lloyd Branden Diede &#8211; Dec 24, 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"parallax\">\n<div class=\"contain\">\n<article class=\"obituary\">\n<section id=\"obit-text\" class=\"obit-text text-fade\">Lloyd Branden Diede, 79, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Christmas Eve, December 24, 2019 at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.<\/p>\n<p>Lloyd was born July 24, 1940, in Jamestown, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Schmeier) Diede.\u00a0 He grew up in Streeter, ND and graduated from Streeter High School. Lloyd attended Valley City State University before he was drafted into the US Army on May 3, 1961.\u00a0 He served in France and Germany before being honorably discharged on May 1, 1964.\u00a0 Lloyd returned to Streeter, then moved to Jamestown where he worked for Western Auto, later CarQuest until he retired.\u00a0 He was a sports enthusiast, enjoying bowling, pool, softball, hunting and fishing.\u00a0 Lloyd especially liked cheering for the Dodgers, Vikings, and Duke.\u00a0 He was a deacon at the United Presbyterian Church.<\/p>\n<p>Lloyd is survived by his wife, Joyce Diede; son, Jack (Laura) Diede; daughter, Theresa; eight grandchildren, Emily (Carter Birch) Diede, Jillian (Braden) Mellon, Seth Diede, Jocelyn Hanson, Casey Hanson, Bjorn Hanson, Potter Hanson, and Fletcher Hanson; brother, Wesly (Darlene \u201cToots\u201d) Diede; sister, Artina Gohner; and sister-in-law, Violet Diede.<\/p>\n<p>He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers and two sisters.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Funeral Service:<\/strong> 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 30, 2019 at Williams Funeral Home, Jamestown with Pastor Bob Boyar officiating.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Visitation:<\/strong> 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday.
