{"id":189342,"date":"2020-01-13T20:00:55","date_gmt":"2020-01-14T02:00:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=189342"},"modified":"2020-01-14T15:01:33","modified_gmt":"2020-01-14T21:01:33","slug":"park-board-approves-mowing-minor-repairs-at-village","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=189342","title":{"rendered":"Board approves mowing, minor repairs at Village"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown\u00a0\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The Jamestown City Park Board on a 4-1 vote, approved a memo of understanding to provide mowing and minor general repairs at Frontier Village.\u00a0 The agreement includes a yearly review, if it extends past 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement estimates about 12 hours of mowing every week for the 24 weeks from May through September.<\/p>\n<p>Park Board Commissioner, Mike Landscoot voted opposed saying the $15 per hour quoted in the understanding did not cover the actual costs of staff and equipment, and not wanting to limit funding to other park properties.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=186184\">Jamestown Tourism is to manage Frontier Village until such time that a \u00a0more permanent arrangement is agreed.<\/a>\u00a0 Tourism Director, Searle Swedlund said there is sufficient people and equipment to handle the work.<\/p>\n<p>The Park Board also approved:<\/p>\n<p>Revisions to the Parks and Recreation Department\u2019s employee handbook.<\/p>\n<p>The purchase of another snowblower which will attach to a second skid steer loader<\/p>\n<p>Scheduled a review of its strategic plan for the April meeting.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown\u00a0\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The Jamestown City Park Board on a 4-1 vote, approved a memo of understanding to provide mowing and minor general repairs at Frontier Village.\u00a0 The agreement includes a yearly review, if it extends past 2020.
