Larson, 96, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Monday night, January 27, 2020 at Ave Maria Village.<\/section>\n<section>\n<div class=\"parallax\">\n<div class=\"contain\">\n<article class=\"obituary\">\n<section id=\"obit-text\" class=\"obit-text text-fade\">Lillian Olstad was born June 21, 1923, in La Crosse, WI, the daughter of Carl and Hilda (Bakken) Olstad. She is the third youngest of eight children. She grew up in Rushford, MN and graduated from Rushford High School.\u00a0 In 1941, Lillian moved with her parents and her\u00a0 siblings Ernie, Vye, and Roger\u00a0 to a farmstead near Ypsilanti, ND. She taught at a country school in Corwin township. She met Raymond Larson at a Peckham Barn dance and they were married on June 6, 1945 at Ypsilanti Lutheran Church. Each summer Ray and Lil hosted \u201csummer camp\u201d for many of her nieces and nephews from Minnesota.\u00a0 In October of 1950, they moved to Ypsilanti where Lillian raised\u00a0three children and Lillian was \u201cone of the church ladies\u201d at Ypsilanti Lutheran Church.\u00a0 She could be found cooking, baking, sewing, working a crossword puzzle, doing craft work, delivering meals to the field, or tending to her flower beds, full of day-lilies and irises. Lillian enjoyed decorating, arranging flowers and entertaining at their home.\u00a0 She was a member of PEO and the Prairie Rose Garden Club.\u00a0 Lillian never missed a sporting event or an opportunity to travel with her family.<\/p>\n<p>Lillian is survived by her daughter, Kerry; sons, Dwight (Helen) and Keith (Leslee); grandchildren, Erika and Craig Larson, Samuel Benjamin, and Anna Larson; sister, Martha Ferden (103 years old!); and many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clifford, Ernie, and Roger; sisters, June Eskelson, Ruth Ellefson, and Vye Wieland.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Prayer Service: 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 31, 2020 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Jamestown, with Pastor Kristi Weber officiating.<\/p>\n<p>Spring Burial: James Valley Cemetery, Ypsilanti, North Dakota.<\/p>\n<p>Memorials may be sent in Lillian\u2019s memory to: Jamestown Regional Medical Center, 2422, 20<sup>th<\/sup> Street SW or Trinity Lutheran Church, 523 4<sup>th<\/sup> Avenue SE, Jamestown, ND 58401<strong> .<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lillian L.
