Eligible projects include capital improvements, exhibits, special projects or events, education activities, and collections.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"p402_premium\">\n<p>Grants were awarded in the Jamestown area to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Jamestown Tourism received $10,000 to catalog the collections at the former Frontier Village.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>National Buffalo Museum in Jamestown received $36,000 to catalog the museum\u2019s collection.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Barnes County Historical Society in Valley City received $700 to purchase a new video camera.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>McHenry County Historical Society in Towner received $30,000 for rehabilitation of the 1906 City Hall, future home of the McHenry County Western Museum.<\/li>\n<li>McIntosh County Historical Society in Ashley received $8,997 for the re-shingling of the McIntosh County Heritage Center.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"in-article-container\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bismarck\u00a0\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The Historical Society of North Dakota has awarded $400,000 in Cultural Heritage Grants to distribute for the current biennium to 22 eligible organizations throughout the state.
