{"id":207911,"date":"2020-09-14T15:36:38","date_gmt":"2020-09-14T20:36:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=207911"},"modified":"2020-09-14T16:44:10","modified_gmt":"2020-09-14T21:44:10","slug":"alice-jane-brown-neumiller-sept-13-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=207911","title":{"rendered":"Alice Jane (Brown) Neumiller &#8211; Sept 13, 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"obit-primary\">\n<article class=\"obituary\">\n<section id=\"obit-text\" class=\"obit-text text-fade\">Alice Jane (Brown) Neumiller, 96, of Jamestown, ND, passed September 13, 2020 at Eventide Senior Living Communities.Alice was born October 22, 1923 in Chaseley, ND, to Louisa (Evans) and Gustave Brown.\u00a0 She attended Chaseley Antelope School.<\/p>\n<p>She married Lawrence Neumiller in 1944.\u00a0 They made their home on a farm south of Heaton.\u00a0 Leaving the farm took them to Bowdon where they both made a living doing various jobs and Lawrence began on the railroad in 1958.\u00a0 Alice continued at various jobs until they moved to New Rockford in 1962.\u00a0 There she continued to help support the family working at a bakery and dry cleaners.\u00a0 In 1969 they moved to Jamestown.\u00a0 She worked at Baker Boy Bakery, Kings Studio, and for the Jamestown School District as an assistant cook, retiring in 1996.\u00a0 They were divorced in 1978.<\/p>\n<p>Alice continued to reside in Jamestown.\u00a0 She enjoyed retirement playing cards, bingo, dancing, quilting for grandkids, Lutheran World Relief and watching Wheel of Fortune and Price is Right.\u00a0 She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran for many years and later joined New Hope Free Lutheran Church.<\/p>\n<p>Alice loved her family and never missed an opportunity to attend family events.\u00a0 She enjoyed cooking, perfecting her recipes of knephla soup, caramel corn, strudel and her beloved apple turnovers.<\/p>\n<p>Due to failing health, Alice moved to Eventide in 2009 where she remained active in the many events and activities they offered.<\/p>\n<p>She is survived by her children Diana Reichenberger, Daryl (Jeanie) Neumiller, Kathleen Fjeldahl, Joleen (Mike) Scott, and Randy Neumiller; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; brother Gerald Brown and sister Jean Larson as well as many nieces and nephews.<\/p>\n<p>She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Phyllis (George) Gillespie, sons-in-law Gerald Reichenberger and Kenneth Fjeldahl; great grandsons Jackson &amp; Trey Neumiller; and brothers Richard, Evan, Norman, George and Alvin.<\/p>\n<p>Alice was a generous, hardworking woman who loved her family and was proud of them all.\u00a0 She will be deeply missed.<\/p>\n<p>Due to Covid, a private family service will be held.<\/p>\n<p>Eddy Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alice Jane (Brown) Neumiller, 96, of Jamestown, ND, passed September 13, 2020 at Eventide Senior Living Communities.Alice was born October 22, 1923 in Chaseley, ND, to Louisa (Evans) and Gustave Brown.\u00a0 She attended Chaseley Antelope School.
