Bismarck\u00a0 (NDDHS) \u00a0The North Dakota Department of Human Services\u2019 Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) presented performance and recognition awards to over a dozen employees at its annual training conference in Bismarck.<\/p>\n
Together, division vocational rehabilitation professionals helped 525 North Dakotans with disabilities obtain competitive, integrated employment in their communities between Oct. 1, 2019 and Sept. 30, 2020.<\/p>\n
The division presented Raena McIntyre<\/strong> of the Jamestown<\/strong> office with the Director\u2019s Award for Excellence<\/em>. In nominating her, peers stated McIntyre is focused and dedicated in her work with clients and inspires team members to do more. They also said she is a major contributor to the positive and collaborative culture of their office and is a great representative of the VR program in the community, as she works with schools, businesses, clients and other community partners.<\/p>\n Casey Howell<\/strong> and Megan Stone<\/strong> from the Fargo<\/strong> office and Tami Froelich<\/strong> from the Grand Forks<\/strong> office received the Award for Counselor Achievement<\/em>, which recognizes the top 10 percent of counselors who helped the most people become employed.<\/p>\n Jacque Harder<\/strong> and Rebecca Martin<\/strong> from the Fargo <\/strong>office and Jerry Severson<\/strong> from the Grand Forks<\/strong> office received the Award for Counselor Achievement \u2013 Honorable Mention<\/em> for having the second highest number of clients to achieve employment.<\/p>\n DVR presented Allyson Berner<\/strong> and<\/strong> her colleagues in the<\/strong> Minot <\/strong>office with the Exemplary Service Award<\/em> for providing outstanding case service to clients through creative thinking, direct work with multiple agencies and consistent client follow-up.<\/p>\n The VR Team Participation Award<\/em> was presented to the Minot<\/strong> office for their involvement in community activities on behalf of the division.<\/p>\n The division named Williston<\/strong> office employee Danielle Jenkins<\/strong> Rookie of the Year<\/em>. This award honors a DVR employee who has less than two years of service, exceeds performance goals and displays a high level of community service and involvement.<\/p>\n The Pillar Award<\/em>, which recognizes support staff who contribute to the success of individuals with disabilities to become employed, was presented to Bobbie Bosworth<\/strong> from the Minot<\/strong> office and Connie Gange<\/strong> from the Jamestown<\/strong> office.<\/p>\n The division also presented career achievement awards, which are based on the number of people with disabilities placed into employment over the course of a VR counselor\u2019s career. Catherine Quintane<\/strong> of the Bismarck <\/strong>office and Megan Stone<\/strong> of the Fargo <\/strong>office received the Career Achievement \u2013 100 Club Award<\/em>.
