Dec 8, 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"parallax\">\n<div class=\"contain\">\n<article class=\"obituary\">\n<section id=\"obit-text\" class=\"obit-text text-fade\">Marilyn Verlie (Schoeler) Kerber, 79, Jamestown, ND passed away on December 8, 2020 surrounded by her family.\u00a0 Waiting for her in heaven, the love of her life Richard, her parents, Albert and Helen (Grinager) Schoeler, and her brother John Schoeler.Marilyn was born in Corinne Township, North Dakota on November 3, 1941.\u00a0 She attended Corinne Country School through the eighth grade.\u00a0 She then went to three years of High School in Wimbledon, ND.\u00a0 She transferred to Courtenay Public School her senior year, graduating in 1959.Marilyn spent her young life on the family farm, raising small grains and livestock.\u00a0 She moved to Jamestown and worked for the City Water Department for many years before she retired.\u00a0 After retirement Marilyn worked as the Jamestown Senior Center.<\/p>\n<p>Marilyn loved her garden and spent many hours tending to her flowers every summer.\u00a0 She also loved birds and enjoyed watching the birds as the feeders from her kitchen window.\u00a0 She loved her cat Boots who was a treasured companion.\u00a0 Marilyn had tremendous love for family which brought her sons and their families together for the holidays and she loved having family gatherings.\u00a0 Richard and Marilyn went to many musical events and made many new friends.\u00a0 They loved time spent in Hannaford with old friends and musicians, \u201cThe Neighbors.\u201d\u00a0 In addition, they spent time with their friends in Valley City.<\/p>\n<p>Marilyn loved sports and played basketball in high school.\u00a0 This love for sports was passed on to her sons and grandchildren.\u00a0 She loved watching them play volleyball, basketball, softball and baseball and attended their games cheering them on and watching with much pride.\u00a0 If she couldn\u2019t attend a game, she always watched on TV or on her iPad so that she never missed a game.<\/p>\n<p>Marilyn is survived by her four sons, Kully (Vanessa) Lindstrom, Denver, CO, Todd, Minneapolis, MN, Greg, (Heather), New Prague, MN, Tim (Tabby), Bismarck, ND; brother, Richard (Helen) Schoeler, Worland, WY, sister-in-law, Maurine Schoeler, Jamestown, ND; grandchildren, Corey, Tiffany, Nickalis, Jacob, Emily (Dustin) Rhinehart, Samantha, Hailey, Abby, Benamin, Grace;
