Highs in the lower 20s.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-197999\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/NDHP-fatalcrash-300x202.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"202\" \/>Jamestown (CSi) The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a fatal crash on I-94 Sunday afternoon, about 1:23-p.m.on I-94 at mile marker 231 at Medina claimed the life of a 61 year old Jamestown man.<\/p>\n<p>The report says, 2008 Silverado rolled traveling west bound on Interstate 94 near mile marker 231. The Chevrolet partially entered the median of Interstate 94 as the trailer began to fishtail. The male driver overcorrected to the right and entered the North ditch of Interstate 94. The Chevrolet entered the North ditch traveling sideways causing it to trip and overturn. The male driver was ejected from the Chevrolet. The male driver was transported by Medina Ambulance to Jamestown Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased due to his injuries sustained in the crash.<\/p>\n<p>The man\u2019s name has not yet been released.<\/p>\n<p>The report says a seat belt was not in use at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n<p>There was freezing rain and scattered ice and wet road conditions at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n<p>Assisting the Highway Patrol on scene were: The Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Medina Fire, and Medina Ambulance.<\/p>\n<p>The crash is under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-215187\" src=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Garage-Fire-Sat-12-19-20-300x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Garage-Fire-Sat-12-19-20-300x300.jpeg 300w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Garage-Fire-Sat-12-19-20-150x150.jpeg 150w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Garage-Fire-Sat-12-19-20-768x768.jpeg 768w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Garage-Fire-Sat-12-19-20-175x175.jpeg 175w, http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/Garage-Fire-Sat-12-19-20.jpeg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/>Jamestown\u00a0 (JPD Jamestown Police reported Sunday that the search continues for a person of interest being sought in connection with Saturday&#8217;s suspicious fire reported about 3-p.m. at 1012 2nd Ave. Northwest, north of Nickeus Park\u00a0 in Northwest Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>The person\u00a0 being sought is considered dangerous with mental health and drug issues.<\/p>\n<div>The male person of interest is 20-30 yrs old, has brown eyes, and crew cut brown hair. Police estimate he is 5-08 to 6-00 tall, with a slender build.\u00a0 Authorities\u00a0 say he was last seen Saturday afternoon, reportedly in black clothing and exhibiting signs of mental health issues.<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>The suspect is believed\u00a0 to have broken into a residence before fleeing from law enforcement and was actively evading the police as of Saturday p.m.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Police urge residents to lock up houses and garages, and making sure keys and valuables are not left in vehicles, and be aware of anyone that looks suspicious around your property.<\/p>\n<p>Do not approach anyone and call police.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of the fire is still under investigation.<\/p>\n<div>At the scene of the fire, Saturday, no injuries were reported to firefighters.<\/div>\n<p>Four city fire units were on the scene for about an hour.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The number of new cases of the coronavirus in North Dakota in the last two weeks continued to decline in comparison to the rest of the country. Data compiled Saturday by Johns Hopkins University researchers shows the state dropping from 19th to 24th per capita. North Dakota health officials on Sunday confirmed 257 new COVID-19 cases in the last day, lifting the total to more than 90,000 since the start of the pandemic. The state\u2019s most populous county, Cass, topped the list with 92 positive tests. No other county listed more than 21 cases in the daily report. Health officials say do-it-yourself tracing is not ideal, but with infections and hospitalizations soaring nationwide, it\u2019s likely the most effective way to reach people who may be at risk. Health officials say it&#8217;s taking too long before tracers learn of positive tests. What&#8217;s more, many people won\u2019t pick up the phone or refuse to answer questions when tracers call. Sometimes, there are simply too many positive tests to call everyone. (AP) \u2014 Authorities have identified an inmate of the Cass County Jail in Fargo who died while in custody.
