By screening with rapid antigen tests, event attendees will be able to receive their test results within 15 minutes via text notification. The test also is less invasive than a PCR (Polymerase chain reaction) test in that it uses a nasal swab to collect a sample<\/a> from the lower part of the nostril.<\/p>\n If a person tests positive, they should isolate at home immediately and a case investigator will be in touch with them within 24 hours. Loans are offered with a 3.75% interest rate for small businesses and 2.75% interest rate for nonprofit organizations, a 30-year maturity, and an automatic deferment of one year before monthly payments begin. (AP) \u2014 A Fargo Police Department car was struck early Saturday while an officer was conducting a traffic stop, leading to the arrest of a 21-year-old for driving under the influence of alcohol. The officer was concluding a traffic stop and had emergency lights activated when another vehicle struck the back end of the police car. There were no injuries in the crash. Police arrested the driver for driving under the influence of alcohol and cited her for failing to have the vehicle under control.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2014 The North Dakota Highway Patrol has released the name of a man killed while walking on a highway south of Huff. Forty-three-year-old Alex Azure was standing in the northbound lane of the highway when he was hit by a vehicle late Thursday, according to the police. Several people had called the highway patrol to report that he was walking in the roadway. Troopers were on their way to the scene when he was hit. The highway patrol says the driver was unable to avoid striking Azure, who was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2014 Police have arrested a suspect after a shooting at a Mandan mobile home court. Mandan Police say 28-year-old Terry J. Peltier allegedly shot another 28-year-old man just after 4 a.m. Friday. The Bismarck Tribune reports the unidentified man suffered a gunshot wound to his hip, and an ambulance took him to a local hospital. Police did not know his condition. Officers located Peltier, a Mandan resident, at a home in Bismarck. He is being held at the Burleigh Morton Detention Center while formal charges are pending. It\u2019s not clear if he has an attorney.<\/p>\n In sports…<\/p>\n Saturday<\/p>\n UJ Basketball<\/p>\n Harold Newman Arena<\/p>\n Men<\/a><\/p>\n Mason Walters<\/a>\u00a0 grabbed 22 rebounds for a new UJ record.<\/p>\n The Jimmies (11-3, 7-2 GPAC)\u00a0tied a single-game mark with 21 made three-pointers, and Mason Walters<\/a> (SO\/Jamestown, ND) grabbed 22 rebounds for a new UJ record.<\/p>\n Will Cordes<\/a> (FR\/Shakopee, MN) drained eight threes, one away from the Jimmies\u2019 record of nine.<\/p>\n Hastings (4-10, 0-9 GPAC), in search of its first conference win, stayed close with Jamestown in the opening 10 minutes. There were 14 lead changes in the first 9:52 of game time, with the largest lead being four points.<\/p>\n Brock Schrom<\/a> (SR\/Grand Rapids, MN) put the Jimmies ahead 23-22 and UJ would never trail again. Walters (16), Woodford (14), Allante\u2019 Pickens<\/a> (SR\/Chicago, IL) (12), and Kjos (11) also were in double figures for Jamestown. University.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Women<\/a><\/p>\n Jamestown\u00a0 (UJ<\/a>) A 28-point third quarter proved to be the difference Saturday afternoon for the University of Jamestown women\u2019s basketball team as they defeated Hastings (Neb.) 66-55 at Harold Newman Arena.<\/p>\n The victory sends the Jimmies to an 8-4 overall record, 6-4 in the GPAC. Hastings falls to 4-8 overall and 3-7 in league play.<\/p>\n UJ led 18-17 after a first period that featured three ties and three lead changes. Emma Stoehr<\/a> (SR\/Woodbury, MN)\u2019s basket broke a 12-12 tie with 2:53 in the first, and the Jimmies would hold onto the lead for the remainder of the game.<\/p>\n Jamestown\u2019s largest lead of the half came on Kia Tower<\/a> (SO\/Bigfork, MN)\u2019s free throw that made it 30-20 with 3:23 in the half. Hastings closed the quarter making three of their last five shots, but UJ went up eight points at the half.<\/p>\n Hannah DeMars<\/a> (SO\/Grand Rapids, MN) scored 12 of her game-high 22 points in the third for the Jimmies, and a 21-9 run by the home team pushed the lead to 20 points (55-35) with 3:45 left in the quarter. Jamestown shot 10-for-19 while holding Hastings to 6-of-16 shooting.<\/p>\n The offensive spurt proved beneficial for UJ, as the Jimmies connected on just one of 14 field goal attempts and were held to four points in the fourth quarter. Hastings closed the game on an 11-1 run to narrow the gap.<\/p>\n DeMars pulled down 10 rebounds for a double-double. Tower finished with 13 points and nine rebounds, and Noelle Josephson<\/a> (JR\/Ramsey, MN) added 11 points, six rebounds, and three steals. Bismarck\u00a0 (NDDoH) \u2013 The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) provided an update Thursday regarding COVID-19 vaccine priority groups.\u00a0Molly Howell, NDDoH Immunization Director, says, \u201cVaccine distribution in North Dakota has gone well the first three weeks. Although vaccine supply continues to be very limited, North Dakotans should monitor messaging from their local health departments and health care providers for more information on when they are able to be vaccinated.\u201d<\/p>\n\n
