Jamestown\u00a0 (CVHD)\u00a0 \u2013 Central Valley Health District (CVHD) reports that they have provided 936
\nCOVID vaccinations since the vaccine first arrived on December 22, 2020. Robin Iszler, Unit
\nAdministrator, reports the CVHD team have been working very hard to provide the vaccinations
\nout to the community as soon as it arrives. \u201cWe schedule clinics and begin calling people as
\nsoon as we have vaccine in the door of our facility,\u201d reports Iszler.
\nCVHD began administering the second doses of the Moderna vaccine to priority group Phase 1A
\nthis past week, which includes frontline healthcare workers, first responders, and long-term care
\nresidents and staff. \u201cThose who received vaccine the week of December 22 were due for the
\nsecond dose this week,\u201d says Iszler. Moderna vaccine requires a second dose, due 28 days after
\nthe first dose. Next week CVHD anticipates the arrival of the Pfizer vaccine for second doses for
\nthose vaccinated in Phase 1A. Pfizer vaccine second does are due 21 days following the first
\ndose.<\/p>\n
Iszler says they are expecting to be very busy vaccinating next week. \u201cWe have a lot to
\ncoordinate in the next week as we have both types of vaccine coming for first and second doses,\u201d
\nShe says\u00a0 CVHD will be receiving 300 doses of Moderna vaccine the week of January 25 for
\nfirst doses for those in priority group Phase 1B, specifically those 75 and older. \u201cIn addition to
\nthe second dose clinics, we will also be working to coordinate a first dose vaccination clinic for
\nthose in Phase 1B. We are very excited to offer vaccinations to those are have been waiting,\u201d expresses Iszler.
\nCentral Valley Health has established an interest survey that collects names of those interested in
\nCOVID vaccine and also determines which priority group they are eligible for.<\/p>\n
The survey is available on the CVHD website at www.centralvalleyhealth.org. To date, CVHD has collected
\nover 900 responses of those interested in the COVID vaccine from Stutsman and Logan
\nCounties. Of those 900 interested, over 350 are over the age of 75.
\nOnce the vaccine arrives, CVHD will begin calling those on the list in order of signing up on the
\ninterest survey while following the priority group guidance. Participants will then be invited to
\nmake an appointment at a vaccination clinic. Appointments at the vaccination clinics will be
\nrequired to enter the facility. Locations of the vaccinations may change depending on
\navailability of the facility and those wishing to be vaccinated will be notified of the location.<\/p>\n

The driver, 50 year old\u00a0 Andrea Sweeney,Valley City lost control of the Buick and overcorrected causing it to enter the median of Interstate 94. The Buick overturned and crossed the east bound lanes of Interstate 94. The Buick came to rest on the east bound shoulder facing south west. She was transported by Valley City Ambulance to CHI Mercy Hospital in Valley City to be treated for her injuries sustained in the crash.<\/p>\n A seat belt was not in use at the time of the rollover.<\/p>\n The crash is under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. <\/p>\n Update<\/p>\n Jamestown (CSi) The City of Jamestown informs motorists that a road closure planned for Tuesday, January 26 for COVID-19 vaccinations, only for those with vaccination appointments. scheduled in advance.
