UNDATED (AP) \u2014 The New York Rangers have stunningly fired president John Davidson and general manager Jeff Gorton with three games left in the season. The dismissals come after Davidson and Gorton assembled an excellent collection of young talent that makes the team\u2019s future look very promising.<\/p>\n
The news also comes less than 24 hours after the team ripped the league for fining but not suspending Washington\u2019s Tom Wilson for his role in a scrum Monday night that injured Rangers star Artemi Panarin (ahr-TEH\u2019-mee pah-NAH\u2019-rihn).<\/p>\n
It was not immediately clear if the front office shakeup had any connection to the criticism of the league.<\/p>\n

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) \u2014 North Dakota will issue more deer hunting licenses this year than it has in the past 10 years. The Game and Fish Department will make 72,000 licenses available to hunters, the sixth consecutive year the number has increased and up 3,150 from last year. The department has been moving toward a goal of issuing at least 75,000 licenses annually. The number issued this year might have been higher, but drought conditions persist across the state, affecting reproduction. The deadline to apply for a license is June 2.
