A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions

Valley City\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 Barnes Co. Emergency Manager Sue Lloyd announces that a burn ban is in place for Barnes, County, starting June 3, for the next thirty days due to abnormally dry conditions.<\/p>\n

The Barnes County Commission issued the burn ban on June 3.<\/p>\n

\"\"Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 On Thursday, North Dakota U.S. Senator John Hoeven visited Collins Aerospace and later discussed the ADM Facility, when he met with officials with the JSDC, and the Spiritwood Energy Park Association (SEPA) discussing opportunities surrounding ADM\u2019s recently-announced soybean crushing facility.<\/p>\n

Senator Hoeven\u00a0 addressed the employees of the Jamestown Collins Aerospace plant \u00a0congratulating \u00a0them on 50 years in the community. Hoeven will also outline his efforts as a member of the Senate Defense Appropriations Committee to support the state\u2019s defense industry and secure new opportunities for the company to adapt its lightweight cargo loading system for a variety of military platforms.<\/p>\n

Meeting at Sabir’s Buffalo Grill in the afternoon, Hoeven\u00a0 updated ongoing efforts to tie the soybean crushing facility to North Dakota\u2019s agriculture and energy industries in new and innovative ways.<\/p>\n

\"\"Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi) On June 5,\u00a0 the Jamestown community can help \u00a0celebrate the opening of the Meidinger Splash Park, at the Two Rivers Activity Center.\u00a0 The lead donor for the \u00a0$2.2 million project is Shirley Meidinger, expected to attend the grand opening event Saturday.<\/p>\n

Starting at \u00a0at noon Saturday, June 5,\u00a0 there is \u00a0a 3-on-3 basketball tournament and then at 1-p.m., the ribbon cutting and grand opening of the Splash Park.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from the event benefits Mary\u2019s Place at SAFE Shelter.<\/p>\n

On Thursday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2, SAFE Shelter Dirctor, Lynne Tally said, the event this year is moved to June from the tradition April date each year to allow more people to get vaccinated against COVID-19.<\/p>\n

Also to accommodate everyone\u2019s comfort level, the runner and walker can participate either in person or virtually.<\/p>\n

There will be a 5K Rabbit Run\/Walk for the more serious runners and walkers.\u00a0 The family fun 3K Bunny Hop Run\/Walk will wind through the UJ campus and will include treats for the kids.\u00a0 Both routes will start and end at\u00a0 Harold Newman Arena.\u00a0 Costumes are encouraged for the family fun event.<\/p>\n

Check in begins at 8:15-a.m., and the run will start at 9-a.m. sharp.<\/p>\n

Registration is $25 for adults, and $5 for children under 12.\u00a0 Registration for adults includes a tee shirt with this year\u2019s logo.\u00a0 Children\u2019s registration includes a medal with this year\u2019s logo.<\/p>\n
