YANKTON, S.D.\u00a0 (UJ<\/a>)\u00a0 —\u00a0<\/strong>The University of Jamestown men’s soccer team lost its second straight match Wednesday, falling 2-1 against Mount Marty University.<\/p>\n The Jimmies, now 5-6-2 overall and 3-4-1 in the GPAC, finish the road portion of their schedule Saturday with a non-conference match at No. 10 Bellevue (Neb.) University.<\/p>\n David Provencher took a pass from Jose Garcia in the third minute and put the ball in the back of the net, giving the Lancers the early 1-0 lead. Garcia made it 2-0 in the 34th minute with an assist by Jason Chavez, and the score remained 2-0 going into halftime.<\/p>\n Alex Aco-Hernadez, Frankie Parkinson<\/a> (FR\/Bournemouth, England), and Aaron Pike<\/a> (SR\/Milton Keynes, England) all had shots on goal in the first ten minutes of the second half but were denied by Lancer keeper Jose Quinonez.<\/p>\n Joel Hyland<\/a> (FR\/Manchester, England) got the Jimmies on the board with an 86th-minute goal, then had another attempt on goal saved by Quinonez in the 89th minute. Eric Fairtlough<\/a> (SR\/Varese, Italy) had the last chance for an equalizer, but his shot went high over the crossbar.<\/p>\n
