MOORHEAD, MINN.\u00a0 (VCSU<\/a>) \u00a0 \u2013 The Valley City State volleyball team has now won five straight games with its four-set victory over Concordia Wednesday night, 17-25, 25-20, 25-21 and 25-18.<\/p>\n Katie Juarez<\/a> paced the Vikings with an outstanding all-around performance, tallying a team-high 18 kills while adding 17 digs and three service aces for VCSU.<\/p>\n Valley City State improves to 10-13 overall this season and holds a 6-2 record in conference play. NCAA Div. III opponent Concordia College-Moorhead drops to 6-13 overall.<\/p>\n Sadie Hansen<\/a> finished with a double-double after tallying 45 set assists and 10 digs, and Kallene Klever<\/a> totaled a team-high 19 digs Wednesday.<\/p>\n Valley City State outside hitters again led the Viking attack effort as Katie Juarez<\/a> (18) and Bailey Nelson<\/a> (11) combined for 29 kills Wednesday. Freshman Ella Roaldson<\/a> added 10 kills and senior Makayla Wetzel<\/a> tallied nine kills without a single error for a .529 attack percentage.<\/p>\n Brooke Blessum<\/a> added seven kills and six assisted blocks while Roaldson tallied four assisted blocks Wednesday.<\/p>\n The Cobbers started strong on their home court and won the first set 25-17. The Vikings then began to heat up in the second set, building a 23-16 advantage on an ace from Sadie Hansen<\/a>. Concordia then scored four straight points but kills from Juarez and Roaldson finished the set for the Vikings, 25-20.<\/p>\n
