Jamestown (CSi)\u00a0 The Rescue Squad and Rural Fire Dept were called to a rollover crash that occurred about 10:55 am Weds at 34th<\/sup> Street SE, \u00a0near the intersection of 77th<\/sup> Ave SE.<\/p>\n

Lt. Sheldon Mohr says when the Jamestown Rescue Squad arrived, \u00a0about five miles west of Jamestown, a local farmer with a telehandler with forks and front-wheel assist tractor with a loader\u00a0 safely lifted the vehicle\u00a0 to assist the ejected female passenger.<\/p>\n

The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office report said the male juvenile driver lost control of the vehicle on a gravel road, entering the ditch.<\/p>\n

He rolled on top of a female juvenile passenger and she was ejected from\u00a0 the passenger side window.<\/p>\n

The female passenger was transported by Jamestown Area Ambulance to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center, and later flown to Rochester, Minnesota for treatment.<\/p>\n

Her condition was not immediately released.\u00a0 The driver was not injured.<\/p>\n

Seven City Fire Department Rescue Squad members were on the scene, with 15 firefighters on standby \u00a0and the fire station if needed, but were not called to the scene.<\/p>\n

The Rescue Squad was on scene about a half hour.<\/p>\n

JRFD was on the scene assisting with a water supply if needed, however no fire was reported.<\/p>\n

The North Dakota Highway Patrol also responded to the scene.<\/p>\n

The incident remains under investigation by the Stutsman County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n

Lt. Sheldon Mohr says when the Jamestown Rescue Squad arrived, \u00a0a local farmer with a forklift was raising the vehicle off an occupant who was apparently ejected from the SUV in the crash.<\/p>\n

JRFD was on the scene assisting with a water supply if needed, however no fire was reported.<\/p>\n

The SUV occupant was taken to JRMC by Jamestown Area Ambulance Service.<\/p>\n

More information will be available in the law enforcement accident report when it is filed.<\/p>\n
