University 2-1 at the Jimmie Turf Field.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown won its 16th match of the season, setting a new program record, and moved to 11-0 in the conference. Briar Cliff (Iowa), tied with UJ entering Wednesday&#8217;s play, lost 2-0 to Midland (Neb.), and are one game behind the Jimmies in the standings. A Jamestown win on Saturday would give UJ its first GPAC conference championship.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink0\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10766\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10766\" data-original-title=\"\">Gabby Sarkis<\/a> (SO\/Campbelltown, Sydney, Australia) had the first goal of the match, taking advantage of a rebound off a blocked shot and netting her fourth of the season in the 17th minute.<\/p>\n<p>The Jimmies controlled possession for nearly all of the first half, allowing the Tigers just one shot, saved by <a id=\"rosterLink1\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10755\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10755\" data-original-title=\"\">Alex Nowka<\/a> (JR\/Anchorage, Alaska) in the 33rd minute.<\/p>\n<p>UJ kept a 1-0 lead until the 82nd minute, when <a id=\"rosterLink2\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10746\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10746\" data-original-title=\"\">Claire Struble<\/a> (SR\/Murrieta, Calif.) took a <a id=\"rosterLink3\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10751\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10751\" data-original-title=\"\">Kamryn Fiscus<\/a> (JR\/Yakima, Wash.) pass to score her third of the season, doubling the Jimmie advantage.<\/p>\n<p>DWU&#8217;s only shot of the second half came in the 83rd minute as Brooke Bullington notched her first goal of the year to make it a one-goal game. Jamestown was able to keep the Tigers from finding the equalizer and held on for the win.<\/p>\n<p>Shots were 18-2 Jimmies, as were shots on goal (7-2). Jamestown won seven corner kicks while conceding three.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday&#8217;s regular season finale against Briar Cliff is set for 1 p.m. at the Jimmie Turf Field.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Men<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown 1 Dakota Wesleyan 1 (2 OT)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/SIDHelp\/fullBoxScores\/22\/7\/8887\">Box Score<\/a><\/p>\n<p>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/article\/6255\">UJ<\/a>) For the third time this season, the University of Jamestown men&#8217;s soccer team played to a double-overtime draw. Wednesday&#8217;s match against Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) University ended 1-1 after 110 minutes at the Jimmie Turf Field.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown, 6-7-3 overall and 4-4-2 in the GPAC, has qualified for the conference postseason tournament and will close out the regular season Saturday at home against Briar Cliff (Iowa) University at 3:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Despite outshooting the Tigers 10-1 (4-2 on goal) in the first half, the Jimmies held a slim 1-0 lead at the break on a 41st minute goal from <a id=\"rosterLink0\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/7\/11156\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/7\/11156\" data-original-title=\"\">Max Gross<\/a> (SR\/Boeblingen, Germany), assisted by <a id=\"rosterLink1\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/7\/11167\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/7\/11167\" data-original-title=\"\">Eric Fairtlough<\/a> (SR\/Varese, Italy).<\/p>\n<p>DWU found the tying goal in the 84th minute as Benjamin Lazcano made it 1-1. <a id=\"rosterLink2\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/7\/11158\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/7\/11158\" data-original-title=\"\">Jona Toussaint<\/a> (FR\/Berlin, Germany) had a shot go wide left of goal in the 85th minute, and <a id=\"rosterLink3\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/7\/11179\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/7\/11179\" data-original-title=\"\">Hendrik Romahn<\/a> (JR\/Osterburg, Germany)&#8217;s 88th minute attempt was saved by the Tiger keeper.<\/p>\n<p>Each team had a potential game-winning goal whistled offside, and tempers began to flare in the first overtime. Both teams argued for a penalty kick after having a player fouled in the box, but to no avail.<\/p>\n<p>In the second overtime, <a id=\"rosterLink4\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/7\/11163\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/7\/11163\" data-original-title=\"\">Diego Valle<\/a> (SR\/Yucaipa, Calif.) got free on a breakaway in the\u00a0108th minute, but his\u00a0shot went over the crossbar. Gross had the Jimmies&#8217;\u00a0 last attempt on goal as time ran out, only to shoot wide of the post.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown outshot the Tigers 19-6 (7-3 on goal).
