Torgerson completed 15-of-38 passes for 183 yards. Jamestown hosts eighth-seed Dordt (Iowa) University Thursday at 6 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday&#8217;s match got off to an ominous start as BCU got the game&#8217;s first goal inside of eight minutes. Taylor Alkire took a shot over the head of Jimmie keeper <a id=\"rosterLink0\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10755\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10755\" data-original-title=\"\">Alex Nowka<\/a> (JR\/Anchorage, Alaska), who managed to get fingertips on the ball, but the shot continued into the net despite the best efforts of <a id=\"rosterLink1\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10750\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10750\" data-original-title=\"\">Haley Dyer<\/a> (JR\/Honolulu, Hawaii) to kick it away.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink2\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10751\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10751\" data-original-title=\"\">Kamryn Fiscus<\/a> (JR\/Yakima, Wash.) drew the Jimmies level in the 11th minute, giving the home team a sense of relief after falling behind early. Both teams understood the urgency of the pending result, and the physicality of play picked up as the half went on. A total of 13 fouls and five yellow cards in the opening 45 minutes kept the referee busy.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink3\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10761\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10761\" data-original-title=\"\">Eve Hoppe<\/a> (SO\/Temecula, Calif.) nearly put UJ ahead in the 53rd minute but her shot hit off the crossbar, then Fiscus was denied by Darrien Sclafani in the 75th minute.<\/p>\n<p>The 81st minute saw the deadlock broken as Flor Suarez made it 2-1 for the Chargers. <a id=\"rosterLink4\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10742\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10742\" data-original-title=\"\">Penelope Hoppe<\/a> (SR\/Temecula, Calif.) then countered with the biggest goal of the year so far for Jamestown, scoring in the 86th minute to even the match at 2-2.<\/p>\n<p>In the first overtime, Nowka made three key saves to keep Briar Cliff from the win, then in the second overtime it was Sclafani keeping the Jimmies from the win with a save of a <a id=\"rosterLink5\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10766\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10766\" data-original-title=\"\">Gabby Sarkis<\/a> (SO\/Campbelltown, Sydney, Australia) header.<\/p>\n<p>The closing seconds of the match saw Jamestown appear to score the game-winning goal, but the linesman had ruled the Jimmies offside, and the match ended in a draw.<\/p>\n<p>Nowka finished wth six saves and Fiscus had three of UJ&#8217;s six shots on goal.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Men&#8217;s Soccer<\/p>\n<p>Briar Cliff University 3 Jamestown 1<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/SIDHelp\/fullBoxScores\/22\/7\/8888\">Box Score<\/a><\/p>\n<div class=\"article-body\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/article\/6267\">(UJ<\/a>)\u00a0 The University of Jamestown men&#8217;s soccer team lost its regular-season finale Saturday afternoon at the Jimmie Turf Field, falling 3-1 to Briar Cliff (Iowa) University.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the loss, the Jimmies still qualify for the GPAC postseason tournament and will be the seventh seed. UJ will travel to No. 2 seed Briar Cliff Wednesday for a 2 p.m. match.<\/p>\n<p>Sebastian Justiniano (15th minute)\u00a0and Michael Virgen (28th) had first-half goals to put the Chargers up 2-0 at the half. Set scores were 25-18, 21-25, 25-17, 25-22.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown, now 27-0 and 15-0 in the GPAC, finishes the regular season Tuesday against Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.) at 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>After a service error by the Jimmies tied set one at 8-8, UJ came back with three straight points to go ahead 11-8 and never looked back. An <a id=\"rosterLink0\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/18\/11053\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/18\/11053\" data-original-title=\"\">Anna Holen<\/a> (SR\/LaMoure, N.D.) ace gave UJ its largest lead of the set at 17-10, and the Flames would get no closer than five points the rest of the way.<\/p>\n<p>With set two tied 13-13, CSM took seven of the next 10 points to take a 20-16 lead. Jamestown was able to trim the lead down to two at 20-18, and again at 22-20. Unfortunately, the comeback was snuffed out with three Flame kills and a Jimmie service error.<\/p>\n<p>CSM led 11-9 before a 12-2 UJ run turned the tide and gave the home team an eight-point edge.
