West&#8217;s 11 tackles matched his career-high.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>NSAA Football Offensive Player of the Week<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Conor McCarvel \u2013 Dickinson State (N.D.) \u2013 5&#8217;11&#8221; \u2013 180 lbs., Junior \u2013 wide receiver \u2013 Helena, Mont.<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 McCarvel led No. 24 Dickinson State (N.D.) with at least a share of North Star Athletic Association regular-season title, their seventh straight after defeating Mayville State (N.D.) 53-7.\u00a0 He caught seven passes for 110 total yards with two touchdowns in the game for the Blue Hawks.\u00a0 McCarvel averaged 15.7 yards per catch.\u00a0 He caught 12- and 29-yard touchdown passes.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>NSAA Football Special Teams Player of the Week<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Isaiah Kludt \u2013 Dickinson State (N.D.) \u2013 5&#8217;8&#8243; \u2013 155 lbs. \u2013 Junior \u2013 wide receiver \u2013 Hettinger, N.D.<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 Kludt returned two punts in No. 24 Dickinson State&#8217;s (N.D.) 53-7 home finale victory over Mayville State (N.D.), clinching at least a share of the North Star Athletic Association regular-season title.\u00a0 He returned one punt of 88 yards for a touchdown.\u00a0 Kludt finished the game with 151 all-purpose yards, registering 101 punt yards return and 50 receiving yards).<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Recap from last Saturday&#8217;s games<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nDickinson State (N.D.), who returned to the NAIA&#8217;s Top 25 at No. 24, clinched at least a share of North Star Athletic Association regular-season title after cruising past Mayville State (N.D.).\u00a0 The Blue Hawks captured its seventh consecutive league title.\u00a0 DiSU led 22-0 by halftime and ballooned their lead to 29-0 early in the third quarter.\u00a0 The Comets scored its only touchdown in the third quarter.\u00a0 Dickinson State went on to score the final 24 points of the game to secure a 53-7 home finale victory over Mayville State.\u00a0 The Blue Hawks piled up a total of 521 offensive yards and held the Comets to 242 total offensive yards.\u00a0 DiSU won their sixth straight game to raise their overall record to 6-2 and 6-0 record in the North Star contests.\u00a0 MSU fell to 1-9 overall record and 1-6 NSAA conference record.<\/p>\n<p>Iowa Wesleyan earned its first-ever North Star league victory after earning a 21-10 home victory over Presentation (S.D.).\u00a0 The Tigers jumped to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter and widen their lead to 21-3 midway in the second quarter.\u00a0 The Saints scored a touchdown to trim IWU&#8217;s lead to 21-10 by halftime.\u00a0 Neither team was able to score in the final thirty minutes of the game as Iowa Wesleyan secured the victory.\u00a0 IWU racked up a total of 510 offensive yards compared to PC 302 total offensive yards.\u00a0 IWU is 2-7 overall record and 1-3 NSAA record on the season.\u00a0 PC fell to 0-9 overall record and 0-6 record in the league.<\/p>\n<p>Despite trailing 14-7 during halftime at Waldorf (Iowa), Valley City State (N.D.) rallied back with a 14-0 second half scoring run to end their 2-game losing skid with a 21-14 road victory.\u00a0 The Warriors grabbed their first lead of the game at 7-0 in the first quarter before the Vikings knotted the game in the early second quarter at 7-7.\u00a0 WU regained their lead to 14-7 after a touchdown with less than four-and-half minutes before halftime.\u00a0 VCSU tied the game for the second time in the third quarter and added another touchdown in the fourth quarter to earn a 21-14 lead with 12:09 remaining.\u00a0 The Vikings secured the victory after a turnover committed by the Warriors with 10 seconds left in the game.\u00a0 VCSU registered 355 total offensive yards compared to WU 287 total offensive yards.\u00a0 Valley City State completed its season series sweep of Waldorf, both by a touchdown, and lifted their overall record to 7-2 and 5-2 NSAA record.\u00a0 Waldorf&#8217;s four-game winning streak came to an end, falling to 6-2 overall record and 4-2 NSAA conference record.<\/p>\n<p>Dakota State was idle last week.\u00a0 The Trojans are 5-3 overall record and 4-2 record in the North Star contests.\u00a0 DaSU and WU are tied for third in the conference standings.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Looking Ahead \u2013 Saturday, Nov. 6<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\nNo. 24 Dickinson State (N.D.) looks to secure the North Star Athletic Association regular-season title outright as they visit Presentation (S.D.).\u00a0 Kick-off is set for 1 p.m. in Aberdeen, S.D.<\/p>\n<p>Dakota State (S.D.) returns to action on Saturday as they travel to Valley City State (N.D.) for a 2 p.m. kick-off.\u00a0 Iowa Wesleyan wraps up their home schedule on the same day as they host Waldorf (Iowa).<\/p>\n<p>Mayville State (N.D.) will be idle this week and conclude their regular-season schedule at home versus Iowa Wesleyan on Nov. 13.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<u>Saturday, Nov. 6<\/u><\/strong><br \/>\n(24) Dickinson State (N.D.) @ Presentation (S.D.) \u2013 1 p.m.<br \/>\nDakota State (S.D.) @ Valley City State (N.D.) \u2013 2 p.m.<br \/>\nWaldorf (Iowa) @ Iowa Wesleyan \u2013 2 p.m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(VCSU) Valley City State University linebacker Jahidi West has been named the North Star Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
