City Attorney Martinck said, there are no changes from the first reading.<\/p>\n<p><strong>N<\/strong><strong>EW <\/strong><strong>B<\/strong><strong>USINESS <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Approved a Permit to Sell LP Gas for Love\u2019s Travel Stop.\u00a0 Fire Chief Magunson said, the business is under compliance, with a training program for employees.<\/p>\n<p>Approved a Waterfront Meadows Extension.\u00a0 City Administrator, Crawford said, the initial agreement was for two years and she recommends approval of the extension to October of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Approved a New Electrical Contractor License for Agassiz Electric, LLC.<\/p>\n<p>Finance Director, Richter said, the paperwork was in order.<\/p>\n<p>Approved a Recommended Changes to Valley City Urban Functional Classification System and Submit Changes to NDDOT for Consideration. \u00a0City Engineer,\u00a0 Chad Peterson explained changes, and recommends changes under the urban road system, including changing some collector streets to local, and some local streets to collectors, and submit to the NDDOT.<\/p>\n<p>Approved a Special Event Permit for the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2192 at the North Dakota Wintershow for the North Star Classic on December 3rd, 2021.\u00a0 Finance Director Richter the paperwork is in order for the annual event.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>C<\/strong><strong>ITY <\/strong><strong>A<\/strong><strong>DMINISTRATOR<\/strong><strong>\u2019<\/strong><strong>S <\/strong><strong>R<\/strong><strong>EPORT HIGHLIGHTS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Gwen Crawford said with Viking Trailer Court road conditions, on November 22\u00a0 there will no longer be curbside pick up of garbage while drainage issues are be addressed.\u00a0 Containers will be placed at another location for residents during that time.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>C<\/strong><strong>ITY <\/strong><strong>U<\/strong><strong>PDATES <\/strong><strong>&amp; C<\/strong><strong>OMMISSION <\/strong><strong>R<\/strong><strong>EPORTS <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>City Engineer Chad Peterson said the Permanent flood protection projects in Valley City are currently on hold.<\/p>\n<p>The city is working with the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) to complete a Conditional Letter of Map Revision (CLOMR) for the full build out of the permanent flood protection system for the City.<\/p>\n<p>City Engineer Chad Petersen told the city commission the river modeling is evaluating\u00a0 changes that have been completed since the last Flood Insurance Study, approved in 2008. It\u00a0 includes looking at bridges that have been replaced as well as the completion of Phases 1-3 of Permanent Flood Protection.<\/p>\n<p>Police Chief Hatcher reminds residents that there is a 72 hour limit to parking on streets.\u00a0 The Santa Cops and Kids program again this year will have gifts delivered to kids.\u00a0\u00a0 Monetary donations for the program are being accepted.<\/p>\n<p>Commissioner Erickson said he met with Jamestown officials on how garbage is collected, there, allowing alley garbage pick up\u00a0 during the time when the alleys are soft.\u00a0 He said Valley City will take the Jamestown collection method in mind for possible changes in the Valley City Collections.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>The meeting was shown live on CSi Cable 68 followed by replays.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Valley City\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The Valley City Commission met in Regular Session Tuesday evening at City Hall.\u00a0 All members were present, Commissioner Magnuson joined by phone.
