MINOT, N.D.\u00a0 (UJ<\/a>)\u00a0 —\u00a0<\/strong>The top-ranked Minot State University Beavers defeated No. 11 University of Jamestown 2-1 Tuesday night in ACHA Division 1 action.<\/p>\n

Despite being outshot 16-3 in the first period, Jamestown trailed by only a 1-0 score as Connor Navrot’s power play goal at 13:05 was the only Beaver goal.<\/p>\n

UJ countered with a power play goal of their own in the second, as Jordon Kromm<\/a> (SO\/Calgary, Alberta) tied the game at 9:11 on assists by Reid Wilson<\/a> (SO\/Castlegar, British Columbia) and Andrew Clark<\/a> (SO\/Spokane, Wash.).<\/p>\n

Jared Hamm’s goal at 7:27 of the third proved to be the game-winner as the Jimmies were unable to get the tying goal.<\/p>\n

Tyson Brouwer<\/a> (SR\/Lethbridge, Alberta) had 34 shots in goal for the Jimmies.<\/p>\n

UJ hosts Waldorf (Iowa) for a weekend series beginning 7 p.m. Friday at Wilson Arena.<\/p>\n
