Columbia College<\/p>\n<p>At Columbia, Missouri<\/p>\n<p>Columbia College 5 Jamestown 2<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/SIDHelp\/fullBoxScores\/22\/14\/9417\">Box Score<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-body\">\n<p>COLUMBIA, Mo<strong>.\u00a0 <\/strong>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/article\/6329\">UJ<\/a>)<strong> &#8212;\u00a0<\/strong>The 23rd-ranked University of Jamestown women&#8217;s soccer team returned to the national stage for the first time since 2005 on Thursday, but unfortunately had their season come to a close, losing 5-2 to No. 13 Columbia College.<\/p>\n<p>The Jimmies finish the year\u00a0with a record of 18-2-1, setting a new record for wins in a season.<\/p>\n<p>Each team had a shot and won a corner kick inside of the first 18 minutes, but it was the Cougars who got the first goal.. Grace Winegar scored in the 19th minute to make it 1-0.<\/p>\n<p>Just 38 seconds later Columbia doubled their lead as Jewel Morelan took an Emilia Zolesio Ferna pass and beat Jimmie keeper <a id=\"rosterLink0\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10755\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10755\" data-original-title=\"\">Alex Nowka<\/a> (JR\/Anchorage, Alaska) for a 2-0 lead.<\/p>\n<p>In the final ten minutes of the first half, <a id=\"rosterLink1\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10751\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10751\" data-original-title=\"\">Kamryn Fiscus<\/a> (JR\/Yakima, Wash.) had a pair of shots saved by Columbia keeper Kate Marshall, and <a id=\"rosterLink2\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10749\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10749\" data-original-title=\"\">Cassandra Diaz<\/a> (JR\/Montebello, Calif.) had another turned aside, and it stayed 2-0 going into halftime.<\/p>\n<p>Fiscus got Jamestown on the board in the 52nd minute, receiving a pass with her back to the defender just inside the 18-yard box. A quick turn put Fiscus into prime scoring position and she buried the ball in the back of the net to cut the deficit to 2-1.<\/p>\n<p>The Cougars responded with three straight goals, two coming from Macie Lucas in the 58th and 65th minute, and a 69th minute strike from Maddy Schrader, and the Jimmies found themselves four goals down.<\/p>\n<p>A through ball by Fiscus found Diaz inside the penalty area in the 79th minute, and Diaz made it 5-2. Columbia was content to keep Jamestown from rallying any further, and the Cougars were able to see off the Jimmies.<\/p>\n<p>Fiscus had three shots on goal, Diaz two, and <a id=\"rosterLink3\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10742\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10742\" data-original-title=\"\">Penelope Hoppe<\/a> (SR\/Temecula, Calif.) and <a id=\"rosterLink4\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/14\/10746\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/14\/10746\" data-original-title=\"\">Claire Struble<\/a> (SR\/Murrieta, Calif.) each had one.
