Saturday at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown led 19-10 after the first, then outscored the Tigers 30-16 in the second to build a 23-point halftime lead.<\/p>\n<p>UJ continued to build on its lead in the third, going up by as many as 32 after <a id=\"rosterLink0\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/2\/11194\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/2\/11194\" data-original-title=\"\">Megan Oswald<\/a> (FR\/Brownsdale, MN)&#8217;s three-point play.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"rosterLink1\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/2\/11016\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/2\/11016\" data-original-title=\"\">Hannah DeMars<\/a> (JR\/Grand Rapids, MN) led the Jimmies with 20 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. <a id=\"rosterLink2\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/2\/11715\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/2\/11715\" data-original-title=\"\">Sarah Lenz<\/a> (FR\/Belle Plaine, MN) had 18 points on 6-of-12 shooting from three-point range off the bench. <a id=\"rosterLink3\" class=\"rosterProfileLink \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/2\/11014\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/2\/11014\" data-original-title=\"\">Noelle Josephson<\/a> (SR\/Ramsey, MN) was also in double figures with 11 points.<\/p>\n<p>It was the seventh straight win for the Jimmies against Doane dating back to the 2018-19 season. The Tigers are now 6-4 overall this season, and 1-4 in the GPAC.<\/p>\n<p>Men<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-body\">\n<p>Jamestown\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/article\/6356\">(UJ<\/a>) University shot 78.6 percent in the second half and 61 percent overall Friday night, defeating the 10th-ranked University of Jamestown men&#8217;s basketball team 89-82 at Harold Newman Arena.<\/p>\n<p>Jamestown led by 11 after <a id=\"rosterLink0\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/1\/10701\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/1\/10701\" data-original-title=\"\">Mason Walters<\/a> (JR\/Jamestown, ND) sank a pair of free throws with 6:41 left before halftime. The Tigers finished the half on a 15-6 run to make it a two-point game at the break. Walters (13) and <a id=\"rosterLink1\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/1\/10722\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/1\/10722\" data-original-title=\"\">John Argue<\/a> (SO\/Houston, TX) (10) combined for 23 points while <a id=\"rosterLink2\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/1\/10709\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/1\/10709\" data-original-title=\"\">Will Cordes<\/a> (SO\/Shakopee, MN) and <a id=\"rosterLink3\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/1\/10713\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/1\/10713\" data-original-title=\"\">Brady Birch<\/a> (SR\/Melrose, MN) each had six.<\/p>\n<p>Doane opened up a four-point lead just over two minutes into the second half, but Jamestown came back and held a four-point lead of their own after a Walters basket with 10:30 remaining.<\/p>\n<p>Four ties and four lead changes over the next six minutes paved the way for a close finish down the stretch. Brady Timm put the Tigers in front for good at 75-74 with 4:56 to play, then the lead grew to five after back-to-back makes by Alec Oberhauser. Doane&#8217;s 18-8 over the final six-and-a-half minutes proved to be the difference.<\/p>\n<p>Walters finished with 32 points and nine rebounds, and <a id=\"rosterLink4\" class=\"rosterProfileLink   \" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jimmiepride.com\/roster\/22\/1\/10709\" data-url=\"\/SIDHelp\/briefBio\/22\/1\/10709\" data-original-title=\"\">Will Cordes<\/a> made six of nine three-point attempts for 18 points. Argue and Birch both chipped in with 10 points each.<\/p>\n<p>The Jimmies, now 9-2 overall and 2-2 in the GPAC, host Hastings (Neb.)
