{"id":240555,"date":"2021-12-07T10:07:23","date_gmt":"2021-12-07T16:07:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=240555"},"modified":"2021-12-07T10:08:00","modified_gmt":"2021-12-07T16:08:00","slug":"jmst-tourism-report-visitor-increase-in-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=240555","title":{"rendered":"Jmst Tourism reports visitor increase in 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The year 2021 saw an increase in tourism in Jamestown.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday\u2019s Wayne Byers Show on CSi Cable 2 Tourism Director, Searle Swedlund said compared to the pre-COVID-19 year, 2019, the 2021 tourism numbers increased by about 20-percent, as measured by road traffic.<\/p>\n<p>He added that starting \u00a0in 2021 Frontier Village visitor numbers rose, noting that a recent survey, fill out by visitors, is being compiled with the results to be released later.<\/p>\n<p>Searle said that this year, branding of Frontier Village was being reworked, to update the Village\u2019s identity, along with a logo.<\/p>\n<p>He pointed out a number of contributions continues including from the Jamestown Kiwanis Club and Jamestown Eagles contribution of the Frontier Village Railroad Parkette. \u00a0\u00a0He said there has been a delay in the arrival of some of materials, due to shipping lags.<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward to 2022, Searle said, tourism is looking for continued growth, in promoting Jamestown has a visitor experience, including the creation of the <a href=\"http:\/\/csinewsnow.com\/?p=240086\">Bison World Cultural Attraction.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jamestown\u00a0 (CSi)\u00a0 The year 2021 saw an increase in tourism in Jamestown.
