Nineteen people, including nine children, died in the blaze. Dozens of people were in the hospital Monday, and as many as 13 were in critical condition. Sunday\u2019s fire in the Bronx is already the city\u2019s deadliest in three decades. Investigators determined that a malfunctioning electric space heater started the fire in the 19-story building. The flames damaged only a small part of the building, but smoke escaped through the apartment\u2019s open door and turned stairwells into dark, ash-choked horrors.<\/p>\n

FRISCO, Texas (AP) \u2014 North Dakota State won its ninth FCS national championship in 11 seasons with a dominating 38-10 win over Montana State. Hunter Luepke had three rushing touchdowns in the first half for the 14-1 Bison, who had 380 yards rushing while piling up 506 total yards. The Bison are 9-0 in the championship game when making the trip from Fargo to Frisco since the 2011 season. Montana State played in its first title game since 1984. The Bobcats lost standout freshman quarterback Tommy Mellott to an ankle injury on the game\u2019s opening drive.<\/p>\n
