LAS VEGAS, Nev.\u00a0 (UJ<\/a>)\u00a0 —\u00a0<\/strong>Paxton Malone scored 63 seconds into overtime as the University of Nevada-Las Vegas defeated the University of Jamestown men’s hockey team 4-3 Friday night.<\/p>\n

The two teams will conclude their weekend series Saturday.<\/p>\n

Reid Wilson<\/a> (SO\/Castlegar, British Columbia) staked the Jimmies to a 1-0 lead with his seventh goal of the season, coming at 14:04 of the first. Greg Susinski<\/a> (SO\/Calgary, Alberta) and Jordon Kromm<\/a> (SO\/Calgary, Alberta) got the assists.<\/p>\n

Susinski made it 2-0 UJ with an assist from Aidan Potas<\/a> (JR\/Fargo, N.D.) at the 11:19 mark of period two.<\/p>\n

UNLV got on the board with 2:59 left in the second thanks to a Brendan Manning goal, then tied the game 31 seconds later on a Max Johnson tally.<\/p>\n

Mario DeCapite<\/a> (FR\/Calgary, Alberta) broke the tie at 2:11 of the third on assists by Gage Thompson<\/a> (JR\/Valley City, N.D.) and Susinski. UNLV got an unassisted goal from Bradley Golant with 6:22 left in regulation to tie the game at 3-3.<\/p>\n

Shots were 45-36 in favor of UNLV. Tyson Brouwer<\/a> (SR\/Lethbridge, Alberta) had 41 saves for the Jimmies.<\/p>\n
