(NDHP)\u00a0 A Wind-Related Commercial Vehicle Crash occurred Wed. near Petersburg, ND<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>, eastbound US Highway 2, approximately 1.5 miles east of Petersburg, ND at about <\/span><\/span>12:35 PM by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The report said:
Road Conditions:<\/span> Good<\/span><\/span>
Weather Conditions:<\/span> strong NNW winds, high-wind warning in effect<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span>
Vehicle No. 1:<\/span> 2002 Freightliner truck tractor pulling empty refrigerated trailer <\/span><\/span>Driver No. 1:<\/span> Dimitar Sotriov; male; age 42; of Mt Prospect, IL; uninjured<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Restraints:<\/span> Seat belt in use<\/span><\/span>
Charges:<\/span> Care Required<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


NARRATIVE<\/span> :<\/span> Sotriov was driving the Freightliner east on US Highway 2, nearing the top of <\/span>an overpass over the BNSF railroad east of Petersburg, ND. Strong NNW winds caused the <\/span>empty trailer to tip onto its right-hand side, pulling the truck tractor onto its right-hand side.<\/span>
The vehicle slid partially off the roadway and came to rest with the trailer hanging partially <\/span>over the right-hand guardrail of the overpass.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
Eastbound traffic was impacted with reduced lanes and speed.\u00a0<\/span><\/span> Eastbound traffic was <\/span><\/span><\/span>redirected onto ND Highway 32 for approximately one and one<\/span><\/span>\u00a0 half hours.\u00a0 Traffic has been restored to normal.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Also reported on Wednesday afternoon….the Highway Patrol and Barnes County Sheriff’s Office, about 1:45-p.m. investigated a trailer pup flipping on to its side near I-94 Exit 272 in Barnes County.<\/p>\n

A strong gust of wind caused the crash<\/p>\n

No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

The North Dakota Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by Barnes County Sheriff\u2019s deputies.<\/p>\n
